CryoChemoAblatorTM
NuVue's second therapeutic product line is its CryoChemoAblatorTM sysetem for treating soft-tissue cancers through CryoChemoAblationTM, a combination of targeted cryothermal ablation and targeted chemoablation using currently-approved chemotherapy drugs. The CryoChemoAblatorTM system consists of two components: the CryoCoolTM base unit for storing and supplying the Company's cryothermal effects, and the CryoCoolTM CryoInjector, specially adapted cryoneedles for delivering NuVue's patented cryothermal effects and drugs to the targeted site. The chemotherapy can be delivered in free-drug form, because NuVue's CryoCoolTM Cryoneedle uses the same anti-backflow technology as the Company's ChemoAblatorTM. Or, the operator has the option of using the Company's NuVue ChemoTM microencapsulated chemotherapy (see NuVue Chemo).
With this unique, patented combination of site-specific low dose/high concentration chemotherapy used together with its CryoCool™ cryothermal effects under ultrasound guidance, NuVue has created a completely new and innovative treatment of unresectable liver, pancreatic and other deep/soft-tissue cancers.
The system has been prototyped, and, after completion of design, will be submitted for 510(k) approval.
NuVue’s CryoChemoAblator™ system of cryo/chemotherapeutics promises to give practitioners a powerful new tool in treating soft-tissue cancers.
[Please note that the CryoChemoAblator™ products are in NuVue’s product pipeline; they have not yet been approved by the FDA and are not yet available for sale or use in the U.S.]
