NuVue Therapeutics wins "Best Life Sciences Company" Award

Somerset, NJ, March 25, 2011 – NuVue Therapeutics, Inc., received the “Best Life Sciences Company” award at the 2011 New Jersey Technology Council Venture Conference, the Company announced.  The annual conference provides a forum for venture investors to hear presentations and meet with principals of emerging growth companies across a spectrum of technologies.  This year’s conference, held at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, New Jersey, featured 59 companies, with life sciences one of the top categories.  Awards were determined by a panel of independent judges from a variety of professional disciplines.

In accepting the award, NuVue President & COO James Stuber said, “We are very pleased to have the judges’ validation of the value of NuVue’s product offerings and our plans for bringing them to market.  With the recent FDA approval of our first product, our ColorMarkTM enhanced ultrasound biopsy needles, we are ready to begin selling.  And with the background of NuVue’s founder, Roger Kolasinski, we know how to bring a product to market.  We look forward to making these remarkable needles available to practitioners.”

Stuber explained that the ColorMarkTM biopsy needles give a bright, clear image of biopsy needles in real-time during a procedure, helping to avoid repeats and missed diagnoses.  He
said that NuVue will follow its diagnostic products with treatments for inoperable liver, pancreatic and other hard-to-treat cancers that are targeted to the tumor and spare the patient from the toxic effects of systemic chemotherapy.

About NuVue Therapeutics, Inc.

NuVue Therapeutics, Inc. is a medical device, diagnostics, and drug delivery company with an initial focus on accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment of soft-tissue cancers.  NuVue’s diagnostic products are designed to give a bright, clear image of biopsy needles in real-time during a procedure, and to accurately mark the site for further imaging and/or biopsies. NuVue’s therapeutic products are designed to avoid the toxic effects of systemic chemotherapy by providing targeted delivery of free and encapsulated drugs and cryothermal effects directly into the tumor.  Using only 1/200 – 1/500 of a systemic dose, these products will avoid the toxic side effects of standard chemotherapy, sparing the patient’s immune system and providing a better quality of life during and after therapy.  NuVue’s therapeutics will treat all soft tissue cancers.  When combined, these diagnostic and therapeutic products will produce a powerful, integrated system for site-specific treatment of all soft-tissue cancers.
