Management Team NuVue Therapeutics has assembled a proven team with significant start-up, research and development, manufacturing and entrepreneurial experience in the life sciences. The management team includes the inventors of the NASA microencapsulation technology (Dennis Morrison, Ph.D.) and the cryothermal technologies (Patrick Le Pivert, Ph.D., M.D.). Roger Kolasinski Roger Kolasinski, the Company’s founder and major shareholder, serves as its President and CEO. A graduate of Michigan State University (1968) with a B.S. degree in microbiology, he began his career in the field of genetic research in the Microbiology Department at the University of Connecticut. He then moved into specialty medical equipment sales, and in 1971 founded Kol Bio-Medical Instruments, Inc., which continues as one of the largest specialty distributorships in the U.S. medical marketplace. Mr. Kolasinski sold his interest in Kol Bio-Medical in order to focus all of his efforts on NuVue. Mr. Kolasinski brings to his leadership of the Company an unusual ability to realize sound technologies with a strong sell-in, arising from his strong bioengineering background and years of successful sales of specialty medical devices and therapeutics. Mr. Kolasinski has remained active with Michigan State, serving on the Dean’s Board of Advisors of the University’s College of Natural Science. Dennis Morrison Dennis Morrison, Ph.D., M.S., B.P.S. serves as Vice President / Director for Microencapsulation Research & Development. Dr. Morrison formerly was the principal investigator and project director for The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) microencapsulation project at NASA’s Medical Sciences Division at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Since his retirement from NASA, Dr. Morrison has worked for the Company in its application of the microencapsulation technology to the Company’s products. Dr. Morrison received his B.P.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Florida. He has numerous patents and is the author of 106 peer reviewed scientific papers, a contributor to six textbooks, and the editor of three international symposia. Patrick Le Pivert Patrick Le Pivert, M.D., Ph.D. serves as Vice President of R&D / Director for Cryothermal and Combined Technologies and Director of the Medical Advisory Board. A French surgeon with specialty training in general surgery and immunology, Dr. Le Pivert is the former Chief of Surgery at a leading hospital in St. Etienne, France and a pioneer in the field of vascular cryosurgery and cryo-immunology. Dr. Le Pivert previously worked with the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) to develop new cryosurgical instruments and monitoring techniques for which he has been widely recognized. In 1999, Dr. Le Pivert founded CryoFlex, Inc., to develop the next generation of cryosurgical and related imaging technologies. There, Dr. Le Pivert demonstrated that NuVue’s enhanced ultrasound visualization technology significantly enhanced the performance and outcomes of CryoFlex’s next-generation cryosurgical instrumentation. When NuVue acquired the assets of CryoFlex, Dr. Le Pivert became a consultant to the Company, and recently became a full-time employee, bringing to the Company new concepts, patents, and enhanced chemoablative techniques. Dr. Le Pivert earned his M.D. at University of Lyon, France, and his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at the University of Lyon, France. James Kulinski James Kulinski is employed full-time as the Company’s Director of Sales, with primary responsibility for all sales activities including distributor relations and development of the international markets. He has over twenty-five years experience, in sales management with Kol Bio-Medical Instruments, Inc., as National Sales Manager of Biomedicus, Inc. and as a founder and Vice President of Sales with Avecor, Inc. He has a nationally recognized level of expertise in both sales and marketing, and has successfully established and managed both national and international distribution channels. Mr. Kulinski earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at the State University of Buffalo, New York. Robert Pfefferkorn Robert Pfefferkorn serves as the Company’s Director of Marketing. Mr. Pfefferkorn has over thirty-five years experience in the fields of medical technology, sales, marketing, and upper management. He is a past VP of International and National Sales and Marketing with Electromedics, Inc, acquired by Medtronic, Inc, and Director of New Projects with Medtronic, Inc. Mr. Pfefferkorn attended Eureka College and Bradley University, majoring in business administration. Mark Ehlert Mark Ehlert serves as the Company’s Director of Corporate Development. A highly regarded consultant to medical startups in the biosciences & medical device fields, Mr. Ehlert has agreed to come onto NuVue’s Board of Directors. As a past Corporate VP with Allegiance, Cardinal Health, and Hospira in Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, Mr. Ehlert has extensive expertise in biotechnology product manufacturing. Mr. Ehlert earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology in 1975 at Michigan State University, and has served alongside Mr. Kolasinski over the past ten years on the Dean’s Board of Advisors of the College of Natural Science at the University.
