Company Background

NuVue Therapeutics, Inc., formerly known as Critical Care Innovations, Inc., is a C Corporation organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In 1971, NuVue’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Roger Kolasinski, founded Kol Bio-Medical Instruments, Inc., a highly successful medical device and therapeutic Specialty Distribution Company that went on to achieve peak sales of some $45 million per year.  [See
www.kolbio.com.]

Mr. Kolasinski based Kol’s success on focusing on innovative but sound disruptive technologies that fulfilled existing unmet clinical needs. Motivated by the loss of his mother and brother to cancer, Mr. Kolasinski determined to fill unmet clinical needs in oncology, and in particular, avoiding the toxic effects of systemic chemotherapy.

In pursuit of these goals, in 1999 Mr. Kolasinski set about strategically acquiring innovative technologies that would create a completely new way of treating soft tissue cancers, especially hard-to-treat cancers such as unresectable liver and pancreatic cancers.

Technology Platform

As a result of this extensive search for new proprietary technologies, during the period 1999-2003, the Company assembled, through patent purchase, licensing from NASA, and IP development, an exceptional integrated platform of Technologies
.

Products

The Company has combined these technologies into an integrated array of Products
for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment of all soft tissue cancers.  The first of these products is currently being introduced into the market, and the others are in various stages of development, providing a robust product pipeline.  These products’ technologies are the subject of 39 patents, 32 issued and 7 pending.  With these products, the Company is poised to capture rapid market penetration by meeting significant unmet therapeutic needs in oncology.

Management Team

The Company has assembled a proven Management
Team with significant start-up, research and development, manufacturing and entrepreneurial experience in the life sciences. The management team includes the inventors of the NASA microencapsulation technology (Dennis Morrison, Ph.D.) and the cryothermal technologies (Patrick Le Pivert, Ph.D., M.D.).

Outlook

The Company is proud of the Milestones it has achieved to date and looks forward to further success in accomplishing its mission in the near and long term.
